Diabetic & Palliative Care
Diabetic foot care is a very important part of the health for individuals with Diabetes. Foot sensitivity and circulation decreases as the disease progresses. This can lead to sores under the foot and other foot pain. Thick nails need to be carefully trimmed by a professional to reduce injury and infection. Ulcerations require sharp debridement, dressing changes, and offloading through devices such as offloading sandals, walking cast boots, and orthotics. Dr. Kearl has 2 years of experience working at the VGH Wound Healing Clinic, and is able to provide these services.
Valley Podiatry Inc. specializes in this type of foot care and important education for patients as well. Visits with Dr. Kearl and our foot care nurse ensure proper maintenance and foot health.
